Polyresin Information

Polyresin offers great strength for its weight, longevity, incredible detail, compatibility with paint and metallic finishes, as well as UV and heat stability. Compared to "traditional" materials:

Carved stone or cast concrete Worked or cast metals Polyresin
Moderate weight Heavy weight Lightweight
Poor detail control Offers reasonable detail but usually only when buying expensive custom-made pieces Incredible detail with good strength for very reasonable prices
Can be stained by weather Can stain other things (tiles, other flooring) because of the weather Can be cleaned back to almost new easily and won't stain the area where you rest it
Limited finishes Limited finishes Massive range of effects and decorative features
Brittle, very low in tensile strength Cast or worked copper, brass and iron is fairly strong, but heavy; soldered or brazed sheet metal products can become wobbly as the joins age Excellent strength for light weight in a range of temperature settings
Flexible manufacture but unreliable shrinkage means products are often different shapes and sizes from intended Cast metal products are very consistent in size but need expensive moulds meaning they need to be mass manufactured; hand-worked products are one-of-a-kind and very expensive Flexible, low volume manufacture means reliable product size but not necessarily large numbers in the marketplace; meaning we can offer exclusivity
